youmex placed a 6.6 MW wind farm in record time in Rhineland-Palatinate

youmex AG, Frankfurt, has successfully arranged the sale of wind farm with an institutional investor for the Schoeller Wind GmbH, Reutlingen. This project marks the start of a long-term partnership in the placement and financing of wind and real estate projects.
The wind park was put into operation in November 2014. Two wind energy turbines of the type Vestas V112 with have a Hub height of 140-meters and a normal capacity of 6, 6 MW. After commissioning the park will produce approximately 16 million kWh each year.
The transaction speed and the transaction security played an especially important role for Schöller Wind when deciding for the cooperation with youmex. youmex has been appointed with the placement in October 2014.After addressing a selected shortlist of investors from the portfolio of over 400 international investors began the structured marketing process where one investor stood out and received acceptance. The determination of the essential transaction parameters in an LOI, as well as the subsequent Due Diligence and the signing of the parallel prepared purchase contract had been made in just four weeks.
The transaction was managed by youmex until the closing, so that after an intensive cooperation from purchaser and seller, as well as their legal advisors, the closing conditions could be met before Christmas 2014. “The transaction has been closed in record speed. This was just possible because of the professional involvement and the good cooperation of all project parties. We could have sold this wind park several times and we look forward to new projects for our solvent investors”, according to Christian von Olnhausen, Director Structured Finance and Alexander Kuhn, Senior Associate, who were leading the transaction at youmex.

With the youmex AG, the Schöller Group, who was primaly focused on private investors so far, has strengthened their institutional sales which becomes more and more important because of the upcoming large scale and international projects. The two companies are already planning together the realization of the next wind and real estate projects.
